Gatto says that school or boring and childish. It's boring to both the students and the children, because it's like the kids are learning the same thing over and over again and they already know the material. Techers feel that it's boring for them to be teaching kids who don't give them their full undivided attention and they spent all of their time trying to put together lessons to help them succeed and they treat them like their nothing. Gatto feels that school is childish because you have those kids who goof off and act up and you teachers who does the same thing. Teachers blame students for things. Nobody really acts mature anymore. They tend to show movies and let kids do work on computers, nine times of ten during the time that child should be working, their doing something they have no business doing, for example, they have to type a paper but instead their on youtube, facebook, twitter or some type of social network.
Growing up I use to think school was very boring, go other the same topic for about a week or two and then having to go through the same thing all over the next year. Most times I still kind of think school can be boring, it depend on what the teacher has planned for that day, and sometimes I really feel like some of the assignments are pointless and has nothing to do with anything. In high school I really felt that the students were childish for their ages, they did stupid things, they didn't do their work, they skipped class, like to me that was vey dumb. Most times students fail to realize that what we do in school is to benefit us and not the teacher. Whether the students are in class or not, they still get their paycheck, so why would they worry about you not being there? Although there are some teachers who worry about their students and actually care about there education so they step in and try to help them.
I hope that sooner than later, students get themselves together, because we have too much to lose and I want to see more students graduate from high school on time, with no kids, and ready for college. There has to be someone in their life to help guide them in the right direction and I'm sure it is, students just need to step up and do what's needed to be done. They say the next generation will be worse than the one we are in now, and I pray everyone could get their lives together and prove statistics wrong. Everybody would be just fine if we all did or jobs.
